Harman Kardon Go + Play iPod iPhone Music Speakers Dock System - $50 (Waterloo, ON)

So this Harman is in great cosmetic shape. The remote control works (with the replacement of a new battery) even though I have it taped as it has separated at the seam a bit. Still works fine... just cosmetically not perfect. It also has buttons for volume up and down and power on and off on the dock itself. Plus the ipod or iphone operates all the other stuff like song selection, shuffle etc.
The remote battery is a standard CR2032 three volt battery found anywhere cheap. The flat larger wafer style batteries often found in calculators.
The power cord is perfect and works just great.
The sound is great at regular to low/normal volumes in small to medium sized rooms. These Harman Kardons were not designed to bring outside lets say and fill a whole backyard or fill in for a home stereo for a big livingroom party. They all have a tendency to distort a bit at higher volumes. But man do they sound nice at normal to low volumes. Versus what you get out of a cell phone speaker or almost all those other "tinny" sounding Bluetooth speakers. yuck.
THIS Harman Kardon is NOT BLUETOOTH. It can have a portable music device plugged into it using a standard 3.5mm pin to pin line cord and plug it into the back in the hole called "Audio In". Also it works with all older iPods or iPhones that have the wide pin jack style input called the 30 Pin Connector. You can get the 30 pin to micro usb adapters in electronics stores or online.
They were ideally made for small room music playing at regular listening levels. And they do that job well. With full body sound, lovely mid range and intricate treble highs.
I recommend setting your iPod equalizer setting mode at "Flat" or Low Bass. As this Go + Play provides ample bass all on its own with its unique speaker design inside.
These retailed new around $400.00 or more when they came out. I am selling this one for much much less.
(Note do not compare this Harman Kardon Go + Play to the newer model called Go + Play MICRO. The Micro has smaller speakers and not as robust and full a sound output. They were priced a lot less than the regular sized ones also at retail).
